Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, secure, and optimize our relational database infrastructure (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, peak database performance, data integrity, and robust backup strategies across all systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Database Administration & Maintenance: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases across production and development environments.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify slow-running queries, optimize indexing strategies, and tune server parameters for maximum throughput.
• Data Security & Access Control: Implement robust security policies, user permission levels, encryption standards, and regular vulnerability patches to protect sensitive data.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design, test, and automate comprehensive backup and recovery plans to ensure zero data loss and minimal downtime.
• Schema & Migration Management: Collaborate with developers to design efficient database schemas, write optimized stored procedures, and manage seamless data migrations.
• High Availability & Replication: Set up and manage database clustering, replication, and failover configurations to guarantee high availability and fault tolerance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on database administration experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL in enterprise or startup settings.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in query optimization, index tuning, performance monitoring tools, replication setups, and database security best practices.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose production bottlenecks, deadlocks, and server failures under pressure.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: Ability to work closely with engineering and DevOps teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
